Mistie Rebecca Atkinson, 32-year-old mother from Napa County, California, who was arrested in last March and pleaded no contest in May to incest, oral copulation and sex with a minor stemming from engaging in sex with her biological son, has been sentenced to four years and eight months in prison

Atkinson was arrested after authorities they found her in a hotel room with her biological 16-year-old son. According to Napa police, they found videos on the boy's phone that showed Atkinson performing oral sex and having sexual intercourse with the teen. The videos were dated Feb. 3 and 4, court records show. She's also accused of sending sexually explicit images to the boy electronically. The boy's father had sole custody of him and Atkinson had not seen the child since he was 2 years old, before she tracked the boy using Facebook. Atkinson also talked her son about running away together. The teen was aware Atkinson was his biological mother.
Atkinson of of Nice, Lake County, pleaded “no contest” to incest, oral copulation with someone under the age of 18, sending harmful matter and contact with a minor for sexual offense against her biological son, a Napa resident, between October and March.
The father of the boy said in court filings that Atkinson and his son, now 17, began communicating with each other on Facebook and with the telephone starting last September, according to the restraining order the man filed in County Superior Court in November.
Atkinson, the man said in the court document, “had been talking to him in manner that no mother should talk to their son.”
“She started to have a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship with him, not a mother-and-son relationship. It got to a point where their conversation began talking about harming me and killing off her boyfriend she was (now) living with. She was sending him pictures of her body and basically seducing him. The relationship needs to stop and we told both of them but they continue to get in contact with each other. It’s unhealthy and they need to stay apart,” the man said.
The father obtained a restraining order against Atkinson in December, according to the court document.
In a letter to the court, Atkinson told she doesn't consider what she did as incest. “I don’t feel like I should have the charge of incest because there is something called genetic attraction that is a very powerful (phenomenon) that happens to 50 (percent) of people becoming reunited with a long-lost relative,” she wrote to the court. “Genetic Sexual Attraction” is a rare condition in which two relatives that have been separated since birth find one another attractive due to shared personality traits. But psychologists say that its rare, since human beings naturally become desensitized to finding relatives attractive.

Plus it's not like she was his teacher or guardian or coach or an authority figure. She literally had not seen him since he was an infant.
This is absolutely fucked up for sure, but I don't think it should be illegal.
Try being a man and arguing that point in court. You might just end up getting an even longer jail sentence for supposed perjury. No one would believe that shit from a male sex offender, so why from a female?
Because everything they do is justified by their emotions, which is fucking ridiculous. Bitch should be getting a life sentence along with the conviction of conspiracy to commit murder.
