Ashley Jean Campbell, 27-year-old teacher at Rockville's Montrose Christian School, Montgomery County, Maryland, has been accused of engaging in more than a year long sexual relationship with a male student.
Campbell was arrested last thursday and and was charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of committing a fourth-degree sex offense. She is listed as a kindergarten teacher at Montrose Christian School, which serves students in kindergarten through 12th grade at 5100 Randolph Road in Rockville, according to the school’s website. According to school officials none f the incidents took place on the campus of Montrose Christian School.
When police detectives interwieved the student he told them that he had been involved in a sexual relationship with Campbell since the fall of 2010. He was 16 years old when the first sex acts between female teacher and male student happened. During the time of the relationship, the boy and Campbell used her vehicle to drive to a park in Montgomery County to have sex.
Campell dmitted to the charges during an interview with detectives. So far detectives do not believe Campbell was sexually involved with any other students.
