Jennifer Whiting, 32-year-old English teacher at Tucson Rincon High School, Jennifer Whiting, has been arrested for allegedly sending inappropriate photos to a 16-year-old male student. She faces one count of furnishing items harmful to a minor.
Whiting was reportedly in the process of going to meet the boy when she was arrested. In order to go meet him, Whiting left her two minor children sitting at home, police say. Whiting was arrested around 2:30 Friday morning at an undisclosed East-side location. She was reportedly expecting to meet the 16 year old boy there .Detectives took her into custody, and Child Protective Services was notified.
To what extent the relationship materialized is still under investigation. Whiting is charged with one count of furnishing harmful items to a minor, though additional charges could be pending if and when authorities see fit.
